Greenwood is the densest concentration of the yards we work — post-war lots around Old Town, the eighties and nineties subdivisions either side of Madison Avenue, and the newer builds pushing south past Worthsville Road. Each of those has a different scooping problem. The older lots have mature trees, deep beds and fence lines where waste disappears into leaf litter. The newer developments have small, flat, fully fenced yards where one dog shows up fast.
The US-31 corridor splits the town and it splits our routing too. We run east and west sides on different days so nobody is waiting on us to cross the highway at five o'clock.
For the households near Craig Park and Freedom Springs who actually use their yards year-round, weekly is the schedule that keeps up. For the larger lots out toward Smith Valley Road, bi-weekly often holds fine.
